Gallery Horton presents < Demons Tail >

< Demons Tail > is an exhibition that introduces three artists, each exploring a new dimension of visual art through the philosophical and humanistic contexts relevant to the 21st century. These artists share an aesthetic that transcends traditional ethics and aesthetics.

Their works traverse themes such as the mutation of human figures, sexuality, the silhouette and skin of the body, sadomasochism, popular culture, and mysticism. They explore cultural hybrids with an aesthetic reminiscent of the devil’s tail, positioned as the antithesis to the angelic.

The devil’s tail, which constantly changes to defend itself against sudden situations and variables, prompts us to question human identity.

Through the myriad mutations achieved via growth, these artworks offer new visualizations and evoke futuristic symbolism.

This exhibition invites us to move beyond one-dimensional aesthetics and experience a process leading to a living object, bridging us to a new, vibrant dimension.

Horton seeks to explore future sensibilities through < Demons Tail > alongside these uniquely expressive artists.

이번에 Gallery Horton이 제시하는 <Demons Tail>전은 21세기에 맞는 철학과 인문배경을 중심으로 시각예술분야의 새로운 차원의 감각을 공유하는 세명의 작가를 소개하고자 한다. 이들은 윤리미학을 넘어서는 새로운 지점의 미학을 공유한다. 

인간 객체의 변이, 섹슈얼리티, 인체의 실루엣과 피부, 사도마조히즘, 대중문화와 신비주의를 오가며 마치 천사의 반대편에 있는 악마의 꼬리와 같은 미감으로 여러 문화적 혼종을 소재로 작업한다. 

돌발적인 상황과 변수에 따라 자신을 방어하고자 수시로 변하는 악마의 꼬리는 인간의 정체성에 대해서도 우리는 물음을 던진다. 

다수의 성장성을 통해 얻어지는 다양한 객체변이는 우리에게 또다른 시각화를 제공하며 새로운 미래적상징성을 떠오르게 한다. 

우리가 느끼고 생각하는 일차원적 미학을 벗어나 생명력을 지닌 하나의 객체로 이어지는 과정을 겪는다. 

Horton은 이러한 독특한 개성을 가진 세명의 작가들과 함께 Demons Tail전에서 미래의 감각들을 탐구하고자 한다.
